Who we are

Cap8 is the brand of C8 Technologies Inc., Boston. Cap8 is a technology company. We hold no client assets and execute no trades. Any strategy built or analyzed with the Cap8 platform runs in the client’s own accounts, under the client’s own custody and the client’s own decisions.

The Strategy Diagnostic is analysis, not advice

The Strategy Diagnostic is an analysis of the historical behavior of a portfolio you provide. It is not investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Options we describe for improving a strategy are results of analysis for your consideration. They are not personalized recommendations, and you remain responsible for every investment decision.

Simulated and hypothetical performance

Charts and figures on this site are simulated and illustrative. They do not represent live performance and are not an indication of future results.

Simulated and hypothetical results are produced by applying a model to historical data with the benefit of hindsight. They do not reflect actual trading, and they cannot account for the effect of material economic and market factors on decision-making. They may not reflect fees, trading costs, taxes, slippage or liquidity. Every investment involves risk, including the loss of principal. Past performance, simulated or actual, is not a guide to future results. Different assumptions or data would produce different results.

Anonymized case examples

Client identities withheld under confidentiality agreements. Assets under management are the clients’ own reported figures, not assets managed by Cap8. Where a case is marked “Illustrative example,” it describes a representative situation and not a specific client engagement. Case examples describe the work performed and do not predict the outcome of any other engagement.
