Effective October 2026. This policy covers cap-8.com, operated by C8 Technologies Inc., Boston, which does business as Cap8.

What the request form collects

When you request a Strategy Diagnostic, we collect:

• your name, firm and email address;
• an optional note, if you choose to write one;
• the page you came from and the time of the request;
• basic technical data sent with every web request, such as your browser’s user agent.

Why we collect it

We use this information to respond to your request and to arrange the Diagnostic. We also use the page of origin to learn which parts of the site lead people to get in touch.

Where it is stored

Each request is emailed to a Cap8 inbox and added as a row in a private spreadsheet that only Cap8 team members can open.

Who sees it

We do not sell your information and we do not share it, except with the service providers that run this site and process requests on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting, spam protection and analytics), our email provider (Resend) and Google (the private spreadsheet and email). They may process the data only to provide those services.

How long we keep it

We keep request details for as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of our business relationship. You can ask us to delete them at any time, and we will do so unless the law requires us to keep them.

Diagnostic files

The site has no upload feature. If you go ahead with a Diagnostic, you send holdings by email, and we ask that you do so after a mutual NDA if you want one. We treat those files as confidential, use them only to prepare your Diagnostic, and delete them on request. An NDA is available before you share anything.

Analytics and cookies

We use privacy-friendly analytics that set no cookies and do not track you across sites. For that reason this site shows no cookie banner. The spam-protection check on the form may run a short challenge in your browser to tell people from bots.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email privacy@cap-8.com.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
